Barry, a native Floridian, has had a lifelong experience on the islands. Beginning in 1957, his family started coming to Sanibel and Captiva to spend their summer vacation. He has fond childhood memories of fishing in the surf with his father and shelling the beaches with his mother. After attending college in his hometown of Miami, Barry pursued a career on the professional tennis tour. This enabled him to travel all around the world and visit many exciting destinations. In 1985, Barry returned to the islands he loved so much and began a career working on Sanibel and Captiva. Presently, Barry and his wife Anita have two children and take pleasure in being able to enjoy the Sanibel and Captiva lifestyle.

Adam Garner, Sales Associate

Adam was born and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky and attended Kentucky Technical College. In 2004, Adam moved to Fort Myers to escape the harsh winters and pursue his dream of selling real estate in Southwest Florida. In March, 2005, he successfully achieved his goal of attaining his Real Estate license and was immediately selected by Interinvestment Realty. Interinvestment Realty specializes in the promotion and sale of many of Florida’s largest developers. In 2006, Adam was offered an opportunity to join Cay Clubs International, a company focused on building world class resorts and marinas. During this time, Adam worked closely with Barry and gained valuable experience dealing with investors and 2nd home buyers and sellers. After working with Barry at Cay Clubs International, Adam joined VIP in 2007 and was chosen as an onsite sales agent to represent Prestige Homebuilders in Fort Myers. In 2008,Barry and Adam joined forces once again to continue the former success they had achieved working together as a team.

Anita Waddell, Sales Associate

Anita was born in Virginia and in 1987 they were married and she moved to Sanibel Island. She has a Bachelors Degree in Education and taught locally in the Lee County Schools for 11 years. In 1998, Anita obtained her real estate license and has been assisting Barry in the many aspects of the business. Her experience and knowledge of Sanibel and Captiva as well as the surrounding areas are a welcomed advantage to those looking to buy or sell. In addition to her administrative skills, she delights in using her decorating talent to help sellers prepare a home for sale and to assist buyers after their purchase.
